Thanks for Going the Extra Mile!

Full-Circle Learning, an official charity of the LA Marathon, enjoyed support from 13 runners and 85 donors the weekend of March 8-9th, 2014. A crew of volunteers welcomed visitors to the booth to cheer the runners on, with T-shirts, snacks and drinks. Thank you so much to those who took time to train and run, to sponsor a runner, or to work at the booth. Thanks to KTLA for running a story about one of the projects (at Tarzana Elementary School). With help from our co-sponsors EDI-Health Group, Inc./EHG Fund Phenomenex, together we raised not only $5,692 in total funds but also raised awareness of the capacity of today’s generation as society’s change agents.

Christina Pascucci, from KTLA, ran on behalf of Full-Circle Learning.

Lindsay Schurman, one of four runners from EDI/ EHG Fund representing Full-Circle Learning, showed off her T-shirt near the finish line at the Santa Monica beach.

After running the 5-K with a team from Phenomenex, Fariba Mahjour displayed a sponsor certificate.

The crew running the booth included (left to right) long-time supporter Ofy Douglas , operations director Hyla Douglas, founding board president Teresa Langness, and FCL alumni Sonny Douglas.

Runners Melissa Bessecker and Michelle Guire pose with Hyla Douglas at the Full-Circle Learning booth.

Travis Langness finished the hilly 5K in an impressive 27 minutes.
